Overview

This long-legged and tall Glamourdale son quickly impresses with his elegant and expressive type. Powerdale is a son of the World Young Horse Champion and World Equestrian Games medalist, Glamourdale. Since his international Grand Prix debut, Glamourdale continues to win at the most prestigious competitions, earning personal best scores as high as 92% along the way! Glamourdale is proving to be equally as successful as a sire with offspring consistently being selected for the World Breeding Championships for Young Horses, US National Young Horse Championships, PAVO Cup Finals, and his oldest now debuting at the FEI levels.

Powerdale’s damsire is the Olympic competitor and international Grand Prix horse Johnson. Johnson’s production record has been equally as strong as his competition record with over 35 licensed sons and over 80 international Grand Prix competitors. The success of his offspring have ranked him in the Top 2 of the WBFSH Sire Rankings for the last five years, and as the leading sire for three of those five years. Powerdale’s dam Dancing Girl has produced a successful Small Tour horse by Chippendale, in addition to multiple other Z level competitors. Granddam, Rosen-Dame produced the Grand Prix horse Uptown.

Pedigree

Performance

Powerdale completed the KWPN Stallion Test in 2023 and was reward a 9.0 for his exceptional canter.  His trot, suppleness, posture and balance, and rideability were also highlights earning scores of 8.5. Powerdale should be a top consideration for breeders seeking to add height, a more modern type, and lightness to the gaits.

Offspring

We look forward to the arrival of the first Powerdale foals in 2025.
