Diamond Power was a loyal and life long partner to Michelle Regan from 2001 to 2025.  This stallion demonstrated his kind character and willingness through his tweny-five years of production by an amateur horsewoman.  Although he made few appearances in the show ring, his demeanor, athleticism, movement, and rideability were ever present at home and amongst the professional horseman who observed him.

Diamond Power’s sire Rockrimmon Silver Diamond, bred by Patrick Gleeson of Limerick, Ireland, is a well-known ID stallion and successful performer in dressage, jumping and eventing.  In 1997 Rockrimmon was a finalist in the Royal Dublin Show loose jumping championship.  In 1998 he went on to be the only stallion to be fully approved in the 12 week Central Performance Testing with the highest marks of any stallion.  He earned a Bronze Merit in both showjumping and eventing and drew much attention with his high scores in dressage.

Diamond Power’s dam, Suma’s Poll Tax, bred by Suma Stud, Kilkenny, Ireland was sired by the famous Grade A showjumper Glenagyle Rebel. Suma’s Poll Tax and her dam, The Thatcherite, were recognized with numerous champion and supreme champion titles.

Diamond Power’s pertinent  performance attributes were his lightness, big stride, proper jump form, scope and contractibility and the kindest of character.  He would awe observers with his signature performance of casual trot to four foot fences with rider. Diamond Power competed with his amatuer owner at 1.20 meters in the jumper ring.

Diamond Power was approved as a Class 1 stallion at the age of 19 and earned his Bronze Show Jumping Merit at age 20.  On another note, his required 20 xrays prior for inspection were amazingly stellar.  His health history of twenty-six years attests to his soundness without a single episode of lameness.

Diamond Power’s first progeny arrived in 2018.  As of January 2025, Power has produced 2 colts and 1 filly, two greys and one striking chestnut with four white socks.  All offspring replicate their sire's lightness, proper jump form, big stride and scope.  Furthermore, all Power's young progeny, under saddle with rider, have demonstrated their rideability and jumping talent at 1.20 meters.
