Royale Diamond was a loyal and lifelong partner to Michelle Regan from 2001 to 2020.  Royale Diamond demonstrated his genuinely kind character and willingness through his nineteen years of production by an amateur.  Although he made few appearances in the show ring, his demeanor, athleticism, movement, and jump were ever present at home and amongst the professional horsemen who observed him.

Royale Diamond’s sire Cavalier Royale remains one of the top Irish Sport Horse sires in history. Described by the indefatigable chronicler of the Irish Horse, Nicholas O’Hare, as ‘the most successful Continental stallion to stand in Ireland’. Cavalier Royale has sired numerous international show jumpers and eventers, including progeny that have competed in the World Equestrian Games, Nations Cup, Longines Global Champions Tour, and the Olympics. Moreover, Cavalier Royale jumped internationally and was a Puissance winner at 2.20 meters.

Royale Diamond’s dam, Diamond Problem ID, was sired by yet another top Irish stallion, Diamond Lad, son of King of Diamonds.  Diamond Lad, a purebred Irish Draught, was a prolific sire to many international show jumpers and eventers. 

Royale Diamond’s pertinent  performance attributes were his powerful and proper jump form, impeccable balance, large stride and scope, and calm and confident mind.  He entered every ring with predictability and consistency.  His work attitude was solid and his athleticism never challenged.  Royale Diamond’s flawless performance and school master attitude enhanced the confidence of a novice 18 year old rider as they pinned at numerous A-rated shows in show jumping.

 Royale Diamond was approved for the Irish Draught Sport Horse Studbook NA and received a score of 80 for both confirmation and movement at the age of 19. 

Royale Diamond’s first progeny arrived in the spring of 2018.  As of January 2025 Royale has produced 3 fillies, all owned by Coolgreen Farm.  In 2024, Royale's first filly CGF Pepper Royale had earned a Year End Champion title by the IDHSNA in show jumping at the age of 6.  CGF Radar Love followed close behind with a Reserve Champion title at the age of 5.
