Overview

Otto P. Ster Sport is a 2012  KFPS/FHANA registered Ster Friesian stallion.  Otto is sired by Doaitsen 420 Sport and is out of the beautiful Kroon/Crown mare Sally P. (Teade 392 Sport x Tsjerk 328 Sport, Preferent).  Otto P. has proven bloodlines for performance on both sides of his pedigree. 

Otto P. possesses a stellar work ethic, a wonderful, kind disposition and phenomenal use of his hind end along with impulsion that allows him to excel in multiple disciplines.  Otto is a very athletic, forward moving Friesian; he is brave and confident and takes care of his riders/drivers/handlers.

Otto P. earned the prestigious Ster status at his 3 year old KFPS Dutch keuring in 2015 and scored an impressive 7.5 on both his walk and trot.  Otto has also earned his Sport predicate from KFPS/FHANA for his performance at 3rd Level in dressage.

Otto P. is a proven breeding stallion, and is producing impressive offspring which he stamps with his conformation and temperament. Otto stands at stud at Stone Mountain Creek farm and can offer both cooled and frozen semen for AI.  Otto P. is EVA negative, and vaccinated.  He is has also been tested and is homozygous negative for both the hydrocephaly and dwarfism genes. He is also homozygous black (i.e. no red genes).  Otto is available for both purebred Friesians and other breed mares.

Otto is available for AI breeding only and offers fresh or cooled semen for $1000 breeding fee. $350 collection fee and shipping also apply. Mare owner will contact owner for breeding contract and details for fresh and cooled.
Otto's frozen semen is available at $650 per dose, no collection fee. Mare owner will coordinate with mare owner for more information and with SBS for shipment of frozen.

Performance

Otto P. competes in open dressage classes against all breeds, and is currently competing at 4th Level and schooling all of the PSG. Otto has qualified for and competed at USDF Finals in Lexington, KY twice, and finished in the top 10 in the Nation with his 1st Level Musical Freestyle in 2019. Otto won his championship 1st Level MFS class at the 2020 CBLMs, and again in 2021, won his championship 3rd Level MFS class there. 

Otto P. has received many USEF Year End awards, including 2019 USEF American Performance Horse/Silver Stirrup Award Champion in both 1st Level Dressage in our Region and 1st Level Musical Freestyle for the Nation, and placing 3rd in the Nation at 1st Level dressage overall, 2nd in the Nation at 1st L MFS in 2020. Otto placed 3rd in the Nation in 2021 Silver Stirrup Awards for 3rd Level MFS and 2nd in the Nation for 3rd Level dressage overall. In 2021, Otto placed 3rd in the Nation for 4th L MFS for the USEF Silver Stirrup Awards, and 4th in the Nation for 4th Level overall. Otto was also 2022 USDF All Breed Awards Friesian National Champion in 3rd Level Musical Freestyle.

Otto has had an impressive career in dressage so far, competing against all breeds in rated USDF shows and scoring into the mid 70s.  Otto has had most of the 2022 and all of 2023 show seasons off due to his trainer suffering a serious health issue; we are so thankful that she has recovered and are looking foward to an exciting show season in 2024 for Otto.

Although Otto P.'s focus now is in dressage, he has also acheived multiple IFSHA World Champship titles in in hand, driving, liberty and dressage classes, and in  2018, obtained IFSHA World Show and Grand Nationals dressage high point score. 

Otto P. also placed in the Top 5 in the US and Canada for ridden IBOP test in 2018 at the FHANA Keuring in Ohio with a score of 78.5, earning his AA status.

Offspring

Otto P. Ster has both purebred Friesian and Friesian Sporthorse offspring on the ground.  His offpsring are doing well in competition and seem to inherit his great brain and phenomenal work ethic. Otto also passes on his athleticism and uphill conformation to his offspring, as well as his lovely head and lots of hair!
